Anyone who uses someone else’s needles and other equipment is at risk of getting HIV or Hep B or C, even if they are injecting steroids. People who use steroids like longer needles (usually 23 or 21 Gauge) because they are injecting deep into their muscles. Right now at Streetworks, we have 27, 28 and 29 G needles and _, 1 and 3 cc barrels. People who are using steroids can come and pick up other supplies too like alcohol wipes, ties and water to stay as safe and healthy as possible. We can answer health questions and provide support too.
